Below are my highly recommended cool links. Friends I have had the pleasure to communicate and share time with online. I value my friendship with them all and am sure you'll enjoy getting to know them as well...

I met Les at the Fishbowl. She is another avid dreamer delving into the depths of Dreamtime. I'm so glad we've kept in touch and she has joined our endeavors at the M-PLDA!

It's a good thing I have a strong bladder. Hal is so funny, I'd have pee'd myself were it otherwise. My Canadian friend has been endowed with a great sense of humor and timing. I'm lucky to have met him! You can gaze into his mind at his journhole.

You ever meet someone you find fascinating and wish you could get to know better? That's how it is with Jeni. Her experiences in her AS journal were always riveting. She's currently playing with Dasher and assures me MP3 files will be adding sound to their site very soon!

Larther was one of the first dreamers I met at Astral Society. At the time AS had a project called P4. Larther and I decided to attempt a one-on-one dreamlink those many moons ago. We had amazing results back then and even more since. Larther has many interests as you will see at his blog. I am glad to call him friend!

Dragonfly is another one of my fishbowl friends. I am so glad she joined our endeavors at the M-PLDA! She is very creative and an amazing dreamer as you'll see at her site and the M-PLDA lounge. I am very thankful for her friendship!

Have you ever read someone's words and think to yourself, "Hey, that's exaclty how I feel, think, believe?" That's the way it was when I met Omar at AS. You can find out much more about Omar and his wonderful wife at Omnispirit. His energy and friendship is priceless to me!

Tia is like the daughter I never had. She is an amazing young woman you just know the future holds a multitude of wonders for. Fond of dancing hampsters a boy and his tiger, and other things you can discern if you drop by her interactive journal.

Genocide rears it's ugly head again! And Bush proves he's an Ass again!

Well, other than a chat tomorrow with MPLDAer's I'll be off the net until Friday evening.  It's off to Texas as soon as I scoot out of the jobsite...Hooya!

Hope you all have a great week and I'll be updating you on my mini-vacation before you know it.

Cheers!

Oh, I almost forgot...There are like thousands of people being killed (Another Genocide...Haven't we had too f#%!ing many of those already?) in Sudan.  Check out Truemajority.com about having your voice heard by your representatives to take some action already!  The quicker we act the less human beings are killed/starved to death.  So send your letters to your congressmen or go to True Majority and they'll send them for you!!!

About the situation in Sudan...

Here is what’s happening:

Over the last several months, a government-backed Arab militia in Sudan called
the Janjuweed has been attacking black Africans.  The Janjuweed tactics are
crude
but effective.  They enter a village and use terror to force everyone to leave
their homes and crops.  Entire populations have fled to distant camps in the
middle
of desolate areas.  These desert camps are now surrounded and controlled by the
Janjuweed, and anyone who tries to leave is raped or killed.  Unarmed
international
aid workers are turned away.  A total of 370,000 human beings are already dead
or in the late stages of dying from starvation in these extermination camps.
The death toll could reach 1 million within the next few months.

Time is our worst enemy.  Every day 1,000 people are dying in these camps.
Currently, starvation is taking the weakest—70% of the dead are children five
and under.  As time goes on, the death toll will rise more quickly.  The United
States needs to ensure that food aid is brought to the people of Darfur with
protection
from an international military force.  Congress has already allocated tens of
millions of dollars for this mission and seems willing to allocate millions more
if needed.  The problem is that the Bush administration is unwilling to take the
decisive action needed to make sure the food aid is safely delivered to those
who need it most.
Instead, they are calling on the corrupt Sudanese government
to disarm their allies, the Janjuweed, and allow the food aid in.  To pressure
the Sudanese government, the Bush administration is talking about using
sanctions,
a process that will take months—long enough to kill everyone currently starving
in the camps.  That is why it is crucial that Congress speaks out now.

And on the lighter side of the news..

I received a very cool email from the Ghost Hunters Society.  Here is a very interesting tidbit from their Newsletter:

Fulfill your dreams: Magic Dimensions

We all have dreams that we wished that could be our reality, but we do not know how to make that wish come true for us. In our book, we teach about the magic of having your dreams fulfilled. We show the reader how to open a doorway for a new reality where your dream will come true. Many claim this process is a miracle, but Quantum Mechanics teaches us that our miracles are simply an application of this weird science.

Personally,  I believe quantum physics isn't really all that weird.  Heck, Seth Speaks and the Nature of a Personal Reality simplifies Quantum PHysics and makes perfects sense to me...We are mutlidimensional beings operating on a multitude of realities.  Pieces of Consciousness with inherent abilities to create and co-create numerous experiences.  Unlimited, other than by our own self-limitations, we are able to shift our consciousness to these other selves exploring elsewhere in our various 'worlds'.  Is that what dreaming is?  Consciousness, untethered to the illusion of a body, seeking those other selves for wisdom, guidance or even just to say, "hello?"

Hey, but what do I know?

The time is almost now...

Just two days away from my trip down to Texas.  I'm really looking forward to it.

Upon my return I will begin the Tibetan Rites Jeni was kind enough to share with me.  With them I will re-embark on my astral voyages.  I shall record the results and journey in my astral blogI am certain this will help with the upcoming projects with the M-PLDA.

The Spirit of Spiderman

Dreama, Vince and I went out to see Spiderman II last night.  Better than the first in my opinion.  Some rather cool thoughts went through my mind during parts of the movie, as well as tying together with thoughts from the first one.  Just thought I'd share them...

Is it true?  Is there really a hero inside of all of us?  Hopefully it doesn't take a radioactive or genetically altered spider bite to unleash it.  Looking back on my dreams, in a way, I guess I already have.

Kahlil Gibran wrote, "God has placed in each soul an apostle to lead us on the Illumined Path.  Yet many seek life from without, unaware that it is within them."

In the movie, Peter begins to lose his powers as he fights trying to live two lives at the same time.  One, his mission that eases the suffering of others. The other, one that eases his own suffering, allowing himself to pursue his own desires.  To be fully human.  A decision that requires him to stop caring and trying to help humanity.

I suppose we all have situations, choices and decisions in which factors such as these are applicable.  Two voices at times, pulling us in two different directions.  Our will versus some other will that insist it be done.

I imagine that is why I enjoyed the movie so.  We see Peter decide to choose his own will and not that of his calling.  While life seems like it is beginning to look up for him, we watch as he battles with his conscience.  Can he just ignore the suffering he could help alleviate?  At first it seems so, but as time goes on, his energies begin splitting again.

So, he decides to heed his call, knowing that he must sacrifice all he has dreamed of.  A normal existence, being with the girl he's loved most of his life.  After completely accepting his mission and focusing his energies in that direction, his powers are restored and he is able to save the one he loves.

And when he thought he had lost any chance of living the dream he had hoped for his life.  When he had fully committed to serving the Spirit of Spiderman, regardless of the sacrifice it required, he was rewarded with his dream afterall!

Kind of cool huh?  A love story.  Tale of two wills.  And they didn't leave out the humor, while conveying the messages.

Why is it we are so drawn to certain movies/shows/music ?  Is it mere marketing strategies?  Or are we subconsciously drawn to the deeper meanings held within them?

Your Fake Smile

Your Fake Smile

Your fake smile can't fool me
Why try, drop it and sigh.
Scream
Cry
Make a fist and wave it at the sky

Your eyes can't hide your disguise
So be yourself

Stop the lies

Cause your fake smile defies your lips
It trails off, without a trace
Of the pain
one day you'll have to face

Why be true to a smile so fake
Deluding your self
to the tears you hide
Eating you up from deep inside

Please be you and do not make
That phony smile
You try to fake...

Childhood Memories (More from the Personal Oddity file)

Fishes

I can't remember what age I was when this weird stuff I recall happening was taking place.  I think I was around four or five years old.  I used to wake up in the middle of the night.  I would open my eyes and see what looked like little fishes swimming around in the air all about me.

I remember this fairly well for it having been over thirty years ago.  I brought it up at my first Reiki attunement and amazingly enough another attendee remembered seeing similar visions during her childhood.  How odd is that?

TM and the Duplicate Check

Soon after I turned twelve my mother was having alot of stress.   We were on welfare and times were very challenging.  I remember eating peanut butter off a spoon because we didn't have any bread.  I know that may not seem too bad in comparison with third-world countries and such, but for us it was hitting rock bottom.

One day a friend of ours was over visiting.  My mom was doing the dishes and the frustration of our situation was just too much for her.  She took one of the glasses she was washing and threw it against the wall.  Our friend, we'll call him Bartlett, told my mother there was a much better way.  He convinced my mother to use her welfare check and go down to the TM (Tanscendental Meditation) center and learn meditation.  Not just for herself, but for my sister and I too.  He told her once we started meditation things would get better.  We would feel better to start off with and clarity would come soon after.

Meditation was really great.  I always felt better after my meds.  Relaxed, peaceful and just generally more  loving.  But here is the strange part.  My mother took an enormous leap of faith by taking a check that was earmarked for rent and food for us and giving it to the TM center...But guess what?  Less than a week later a duplicate check was sent to us from the government.  A mistake one might say...Divine intervention might say another.  Needless to say, the check was a blessing as it paid the rent and fed us as the first one would have.  And they never ever said a word about the extra check.

Now that is one for the Oddity file if you ask me...

Dark Day of the Soul

Well, the day started out rather well, considering I only had about three hours of sleep.  I get to work and am in my usual happy mood.  It gets kind of busy the first hour or so as one shift is getting off the floor while the other is checking in.  I was a floater today and on the main floor, which is rather stretched out and not as easy to keep an eye on as non-smoking.

So, I'm trying to get all the handpays done as quickly as possible, doing the usual teamwork thing, running with co-workers books or having them run with mine and all.  Then it happens.  One of the managers comes over the air asking everyone to respond even it's just "Standby".  For some reason this really negative energy comes over me and I begin getting very angry.  In my mind I am thinking, "Oh for Pete's fricking sakes, we are doing the best we can with the limited personel we have on the floor and the lights are still getting put out in a fairly quick manner.  Then I am getting ready to call back to let know a second is on the way and it happens again.  Public chastisement about answering the radio when I am trying to answer it.

I really do my best to ensure that the job gets done as quickly as possible.  And even when a few others have their heads up their butts for a moment or two, we still have the best and quickest crews of any casino I have ever seen in my life.  Other places, your lucky if you get paid in ten to thirty minutes.  We pride ourselves on getting them done within thirty seconds to two minutes, even though we pay every single one (No money drops from our machines...every cash-out is a handpay).

So this incredibly dark energy overcomes me and I just can't shake it.  I go on my first break and apologize to the manager whom I became angry with.  I feel better, get back out on the floor and the rest of the day goes rather well.  But I was really shook that I allowed myself to become so angry over something that I should have just let go.

I guess it all goes back to how I was trained in a managerial style that induces good morale.  My NCO training was rather thorough.  The two main things we were taught to ensure good morale was that any criticism of an Airman was to be done in private.  While any kudos or compliments were to be done publicly.  It seems that any praise that is received (rarely to never where I am employed) is done quietly and in private.  While criticisms, which are often, are done rather publicly, either written or oral.  I know how hard most all of us work and it seems sometimes that this is either unnoticed and not acknowledged or completely ignored.  All the while it seems hyper-critism is all that is proffered.  I guess I need to apply extra olive-oil to my back so it can all slide off.  *Laughs maniacally*

Enough with the complaining...My vent is done...

Personal Oddities (From the soon to be deleted files...

I'm not too sure how much longer my old journal will be around before the grand deletion from the system so I thought I'd grab some stuff from the personal
oddities thread before it's gone for good...

Where to begin...Hmm...Before the beginning...Sounds just about right...

By all accounts, I should have never been born at all.  My mother and father and developing fetus that would come to be my vessel should all have died at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana...

From the Lost Indiana Website...

"The early years were rough - games were played in the drafty old coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, lightly booked since a catastrophic gas explosion that damaged the building and killed 74 people near the end of a Holiday On Ice performance on October 31, 1963.  The teams really didn’t have decent locker rooms, but the crowds were good and the team ended the first year with a decent 38-40 record."

     Death Averted

My mother had a very strange aunt.  Many times she would call up my grandmother and other friends and family members to tell of DREAMS she'd had showing future events.  My mother was privy to conversations where she foretold of JFK's death.  One particular conversation was a dream she relayed of an explosion in the Market Square Arena.  This was months before the actual event.

In October of '63 my father bought two tickets to a Holiday on Ice performance at the Market Square Arena.  On the way to the stadium my mother became nauseous and uncomfortable as I was kicking up a storm and unusually active from inside her womb.  It was so bad they decided to stop in a cafe across the street from the arena.

My parents enjoyed a meal, or at least dad did.  Mom still didn't feel very well and was apologetic for having made them miss the performance.  For a very brief moment that is.  While preparing to ask for their check a woman came screaming into the cafe telling everyone  there was an explosion in the stadium and that it was on fire.

Later my mother looked at the tickets that my father had bought and saw that they would have been seated in the affected section of the arena.  The death toll would have been 77...

My acting up from within the womb...Coincidence?  Or...Is it just possible my consciousness, not yet fully rested in it's assemblage point had access to events soon to unfold?

More weirdness coming soon...

Creativity flowing all around me...

It's really cool.  It seems no matter where I go or what I am doing, creativity just flows all around me.  LIke the night before last.  I'm creating a logo for the bowling team.  I go to bed after having made on that seems to work.  I wake up the next afternoon and Dreama has taken it and made it even better.

The same thing happened with creating our business logo.  Here I am creating it, and I get an instant message from my friend Andajus.  So I switch the IMvironment to Yahoo photo's to share what I am working on.  He takes it and adds his creativity and such to it.  Next thing I know we have this fantastic logo for the business.

Then there is the M-PLDA.  All of us very creative, not only in our waking lives, but Dreamtime as well.  Then I tell a friend at work about our endeavors.  She begins reading our journals and is inspired with ideas for her school projects and beyond.

Then, yesterday I get a chance to chat with my friend Gian.  He is fully in creative mode and has some stuff to share with me when I get down to visit soon.

It's like I am just surrounded with artists/dreamers on and off the net and it's just great!  If I haven't been overt with my appreciation of you all, let me tell you now.  Thank You All!  You inspire me and make life all the more grand!

Cheers!

Job stress leads to getaway plans: Creativity and Dreamtime!

The job is really intense and I am positive I need to get a few days away from it all.  Not just the workplace but this town.  The energy is just so pressing on one's soul, it really is a good idea I'm planning a trip to visit Gian.  So far it looks like the third week in July will be a good time to escape for a few days.  Hopefully the schedule man will be easily persuaded to make the time available for me.  Here's to hope and the assertiveness to turn it into certainty!  Get back to me on this timing for the trip Gian...Okay?

The M-PLDA is heavy on my mind as sleep finds me.  Unfortunately I've been going to bed entirely too late in the mornings.  I should be going to bed much sooner beginning tomorrow as my days have to start off sooner to hang fliers and begin my body rejuvenation program.  It's time to get on that before this clunker breaks down on me...LOL!

Been busy creating banners and such.  Andajus helped me with his creative touches and quite helpful fiddling.  His fiddling is Carnegie Hall quality stuff!  Thanks Andajus!

Made a logo for the bowling team.  Not sure if they'll like it but what the hey?  It's was fun making it if anything...Here it is, don't laugh, or do laugh, or whatever...

Dreamtime consisted of many adventures, so long and intense, I'll have to just paraphrase:

                                                          The Dolphin

Watching people swimming in a pool I notice a dolphin swimming in it as well.  A young girl grabs hold of it's left flipper and is doing underwater acrobatics with the dolphin as a pivot point where her hand holds it.  She runs along the inside side of the pool underwater and does flips.  I think how cool it would be to swim with the dolphin but feel some sort of permission must be given.  I see my neice in the pool.  The dolphin approaches her.  It appears the dolphin likes her as it goes over to her quite fearlessly.

Volleyball Birds

I am watching a story of a very powerful young man.  Powerful in the fact that he is aware of his innate creative abilities.  A young boy shows him the way to a very odd place on a beach.  He joins the other men playing vollyball on the beach.  I can only see the one side playing.  Their opponents are blocked by a sand dune that rises up keeping the left side of the volleyball net hidden from view.  I change my view so I can see who their opponents are.  They are playing against a huge bunch of birds who are standing on the ground using their beads and some sort of force which emits from their beaks to return the ball.  I understand implicitly that the birds never lose.  This fact seems to disturb the young man as he is very competitive.  He makes a sign with his fingers and concentrates his energy from his eye towards the birds.  A huge force seems to overtake the energy the birds are using to return the ball making them unable to get it back over the net.  The young man is pleased at his ablity to change the tide of the game towards the mens favor.
